Rabbit owners should take note that the new variant of Rabbit Haemorrhagic Disease has been confirmed at a neighbouring practice where four rabbits from the same household has died. The combined Myxomatosis and VHD vaccine given annually to rabbits unfortunately does not protect against this new strain of disease.

The recommendation is to give the ‘Filavac’ vaccine every 6 months. Please phone the surgery and make an appointment if your bunny has not had his/her vaccination in the past 6 months.
