Prescriptions
Straightforward prescriptions, handled properly.
All medicines we supply come from reputable sources and meet current legal requirements. No shortcuts, ever.
If your pet needs a Prescription Only Medicine (POM-V), you can get it directly from us or request a written prescription to use elsewhere. POM-Vs can only be issued for animals under our care, so if you’re not already a Pennard client, we’d love to welcome you.
A few things to know:
- If your pet is staying with us as an in-patient, or needs treatment urgently, a written prescription may not be the right route, but we’ll always explain why.
- Just ask and we’ll give you a full price breakdown for any medicine before prescribing.
- Pets on repeat prescriptions are reviewed every 6 months as standard, though this can vary depending on your pet’s needs and your vet’s clinical judgement. These re-examination appointments are £59, or included as one of the many benefits of being a Pet Health Club member.
- There’s a £21 charge for a written prescription.
